Regional Rehabilitation Hospital Hosts Open House for Hospital Expansion
Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture between Columbus Regional and HealthSouth, will host a community open house in celebration of the hospital’s new expansion on Oct. 30 from 5 -7 p.m. at the hospital located at 3715 Highway 280/431.
Featured in the expansion are 12 private patient rooms including two bariatric rooms. The therapy gym has also been expanded to better accommodate the increased number of patients.
“Through this expansion, we are grateful to better meet the demand and specific needs of patients in our community requiring rehabilitative care,” said Michael Bartell, CEO of Regional Rehabilitation Hospital. “We are grateful to play such a major role in changing our patient’s lives for the better through our services.”
The new space opened to patients on Oct. 6 bringing the hospital’s patient bed count to 58. The hospital will continue to provide services to patients overcoming a variety of debilitating illnesses and injuries including stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, hip fracture, amputation and complex orthopedic conditions.
Hospital tours, technology demonstrations and appetizers will be provided at the event. While this is open to the community, an RSVP is requested and may be directed to Cheryl Crow at 334 732-2229.
